A jackfruit tree was planted in 1947 in Kohat, outside the custom office. It is the only kathal tree in Pakistan, which was planted by an English deputy collector in 1947. Usman Paracha interviewed the officers at the custom office who revealed more information about the jackfruit tree, also called kathal tree.
