The Lahore Metro Bus is a great project but its condition has deteriorated due to administrative glitches. urdupoint has made an exclusive video of the Lahore Metrobus stating that the machines at all the stations of the Metro Bus have broken down. It has become difficult to buy tokens while the condition of the inside of the buses is also bad. The investigation has revealed that the staff of the metro bus service has been reduced. This excellent bus service was providing cheap and fast service to the citizens but now Passengers are having trouble because of this. People who have bus cards do not have much difficulty but those who buy tokens cannot get on their scheduled bus. The question is who will manage the metro bus and why the Punjab government not pay attentions.
Lahore MBS currently operates a fleet of 66 buses. The buses run on a single 28.7 km long Ferozepur Road corridor with two other corridors being planned. Buses on the current route have an average speed of 26 km/h. The system uses e-ticketing and Intelligent Transportation System wand. System operations are managed by the Punjab Metrobus Authority (PMBA), though IT services are handled in coordination with Punjab IT Board.
