Group Of Young Activists Call Out Social Injustices By Chanting Revolutionary Slogans On Faiz Mela

A video went viral in which a group of student activists was chanting slogans and reciting Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s poems on Faiz Mela ’19 festival held in Lahore. This group of student activists wishes to reclaim the political aspect of society. They revealed that a student solidarity march is scheduled for 29th November and they were chanting slogans in order to publicize it. According to this activist group, their Marxist agenda will help them mobilize the students that belong to the working class. This activist group believes that the ruling elite must stop exploiting the working class. They talk about equal educational opportunities and women empowerment. Their plan also includes countering gender discrimination, religious extremism which is sometimes taught in books as well, and religious intolerance.
