18 Heritage Sites Preserved, Restored

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Nov, 2016 ) : Lyallpur Heritage Foundation has completed various projects of preservation and restoration of heritage sites as well as buildings with millions of rupees in the district.

Foundation's sources said here Monday that 18 projects of preservation and restoration of heritage sites and buildings have been completed during last two years. Among them are: Clock Tower Chowk, District Council Building, Gumti outside Rail Bazaar, District Courts, Pakistan Model School Katchery Bazaar, Muslim High School Tariqabad, District Health Office, Shaheed Ahmed Khan Kharl's old residence in Chak Jhamra, Bakhat Singh's residence and school, Clock Tower Bangapur, Catholic Church, Dar-ul-Uloom Abdullahpur, Church near Chenab Club and Lyallpur House on DCO Camp Office.

Work on seven other projects including development of Lyallpur monument in Bagh-e-Jinnah, preservation of old Bungalow in Khushpur Sammundri, Kaisri Gate, Seeta Ram Mandar, District Katchery Phase-II and Darul Uloom phase-II is ongoing on, the sources added.
