4 policemen dismissed over violence against citizen

MIRPUR (AJK) , (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 14th May, 2026) Senior Superintendent , Police (SSP) Mirpur Khurram Iqbal on Thursday dismissed four police officials, including a sub-inspector and three constables for misuse of authority and involvement in violence against a local citizen.

According to an official handout issued here , the dismissed officials included Sub-Inspector Shabbir Ahmed, Constable Imran Khan , Constable Ghulam Abbas )and Constable, Zubair Ahmed of the Rangers Police, currently posted at Police Station Thothal, Mirpur.

The order stated that the officials were removed from the service.

The SSP conducted an oral inquiry from the officials concerned, who failed to provide a satisfactory explanation.
