
56 Arrested In Special Drive Against Street Drug Peddlers : ANF

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21th july, 2016) : Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested 56 drug suppliers in 45 operations across the country under its special drive launched against Street Drug Peddlers and Narcotics Dens from June 29 to July 15.
The operations resulted in seizure of 60.27 kg narcotics which comprised 11.535 kg Heroin, 43.
310 kg Hashish and 5.430 kg Opium. The worth of seized drugs amounts to Rs. 109 million in international market. It merits mentioned here that Director General ANF had announced a countrywide campaign against Street Drug Peddlers and Narcotics Dens in all provincial capitals and Islamabad/ Rawalpindi in view of increasing trend of drug use among the youth.
