
800 Liters Of Counterfeit Bottled Water Seized In Raid

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th May, 2026) The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Monday raided an illegal water bottling unit in the 32-Pul area of Khanewal and seized 800 liters of counterfeit bottled water allegedly being prepared under the labels of famous brands.
The raid was conducted by the Food Safety Team on the directives of Director General(DG) PFA,Syed Musa Raza as part of an ongoing crackdown against food adulteration and counterfeit products.
According to a PFA spokesperson,the team recovered fake packing material and machinery being used for the illegal operation.
The accused was allegedly packaging water under the Names of well-known companies while fake addresses and misleading information were printed on the bottles to deceive consumers.
Officials said the counterfeit material was confiscated and the production unit was sealed on the spot.
An FIR was also registered against the owner of the plant on charges of fraud while further legal proceedings were underway.
Speaking on the occasion,DG PFA Syed Musa Raza said strict action would continue against those involved in violations of food safety laws.
