900 personnel deployed as Virtue Commission expands Hajj awareness services across Kingdom

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2026) General Presidency of the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice has launched its programs for the Hajj 1447 AH season, deploying around 900 personnel to support awareness and guidance services for pilgrims across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

According to SPA, President of the commission Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sanad said the presidency’s participation has expanded this year to cover 10 regions, including border crossings and pilgrim cities.

He said the initiative includes 66 operational sites comprising awareness field centers, border crossings and awareness points aimed at serving pilgrims during their Hajj journey.

Al-Sanad added that the deployed teams were supported by translators in several international languages as well as sign language specialists to improve communication with pilgrims from different countries.

The report said personnel assigned for the Hajj season have also completed 31 training programs designed to enhance operational efficiency and improve services provided to pilgrims.
