ADB's Country Director Calls On Auditor General

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th july, 2016) : Country Director of Asian development Bank (ADB) Werner Liepach called on Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) Rana Assad Amin here on Tuesday. During the meeting the ADB Country Director sought cooperation of the Auditor General in audit of development projects sponsored by the Asian Development Bank in Pakistan.

The Auditor General assured that audit would be conducted in a professional manner and in accordance with the international standards and best practices.

The ADB country Director also expressed willingness to provide support to the Auditor General's Department in capacity building and training. The Auditor General proposed that ADB may assist his department in implementing the Strategic Plan for 2015-19 in the interest of accountability, transparency and good governance.

The Country Director of ADB assured that he would consider the proposal for positive support.
