Ambassador Of Qatar Lauds HEC Efforts For Promotion Of Education

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Nov, 2016 ) : Ambassador of Qatar to Pakistan Saqr bin Mubarak Al-Mansouri, on Friday said that Higher Education Commission (HEC) has made remarkable development in the higher education sector.

He stated this in a called on meeting with Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman, HEC here, said a news release. The Chairman welcomed the Ambassador to HEC and briefed him on the HEC initiatives for promotion of higher education in the country with special focus on facilitation of universities, faculty and students.

He revealed that the Government of Pakistan and HEC are making concerted efforts to facilitate the youth by ensuring their equitable access to quality education, and promoting research that has impact on society and encouraging entrepreneurship.

He stressed the need for promoting collaboration between the higher education institutions of Pakistan and Qatar, through bilateral cooperation, university-to-university contact and faculty exchange.

He said HEC encourages foreign students to study in Pakistani universities. Appreciating the steps to improve higher education in Pakistan, the Ambassador observed that Pakistan has made remarkable development in the higher education sector.

He said that Pakistan and Qatar enjoy brotherly relations which have strengthened over the years. The people of Qatar hail the friendly and cooperative approach of Pakistan, he added.
