Annual Sports Day At DA SKBZ College

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Nov, 2016 ) : Annual Sports and prize Distribution Ceremony of Defence Authority Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed College was held at the institution's ground on Thursday.

Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali was the chief guest of the function. The students dressed in colourful attires presented a splendid programme which included an impressive march past, a spectacular mass PT display and taekwondo martial art techniques by the young students.

The chief guest commended the students for their remarkable performance both in academic and co-curricular activities at all levels. Administrator said that the purpose of education is to produce dynamic and forward looking individuals who could contribute for the betterment of society.

He stressed the need for inculcating discipline and punctuality in students which was essential for success in life.

He said that teachers were the backbone of any educational system and an important pillar of society and asked them to discharge their onerous responsibility of nation building with a sense of pride and commitment.

Earlier the Principal, Brig (R) Mirza Khawar Baig in his inaugural address recounted the achievements of students in academics, sports and other co-curricular activities. He said that the vibrant and stimulating educational environment provided at the College helped in achieving academic excellence and goals of quality education.

Jinnah House was won declared overall best house of the year and won the championship. The chief guest distributed shields and prizes amongst the students who excelled in various curricular and co-curricular activities. Director Education DHA, Brig (R) Sardar Muhammad also attended the function.
