
CM Bugti Pays Tribute To Martyrs Of Karsaz Tragedy

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Oct, 2025) Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Saturday paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for democracy on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the Karsaz tragedy.
He said in his message that the Karsaz tragedy was a dark but great chapter in the political history of Pakistan, where the attack on the convoy of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was actually a big blow to democratic values and the people's struggle.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that more than 150 workers sacrificed their lives for the survival of democracy, while hundreds of injured workers still remind us of this struggle. The aim of which was the supremacy of the people and the stability of the democratic system in Pakistan.
He said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto dedicated her entire life to democratic principles, people's rights and the strength of the federation. Her leadership gave the nation a message of hope, courage and unity.
The CM said that the martyrdom of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto is an example of democratic perseverance and sacrifice that gave a new direction to Pakistan’s political journey forever.
He said that the martyrs of the Karsaz tragedy kept the candle of democracy burning with their blood and today Pakistan is the result of this perseverance.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that the Balochistan government believes in political tolerance, strengthening of democratic principles and promotion of public harmony in the country.
He said that the sacrifices of the workers of the Pakistan People’s Party are a symbol of national unity and democratic determination.
Expressing complete solidarity with Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, her colleagues and the families of the martyrs, he said that the memory of the Karsaz tragedy teaches us that democracy survives only through sacrifice, perseverance and the spirit of public service.
