Court Adjourns Humaira Arshad's Plea For Custody Of Son

LAHORE,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -2nd Sep,2016) : An Additional District and Sessions Judge on Friday adjourned hearing of a plea filed by singer Humaira Arshad for custody of her six-year-old son till September 5.

Earlier, Ahmad Butt, ex-husband of Humaira Arshad, along his son appeared before the judge Ghulam Abbas Sial in response to court notices. Singer Humaira Arshad was also present in the court room.

Humaira's counsel submitted that as per law, the custody of the minor should be handed over to his client as she could look after the minor better. Ahmad Butt's counsel rgued that his client had already approached the guardian court which allowed him to keep the minor in his custody.

He contended that the court could not pass any further order in the presence of guardian court orders. To which, Humaira's counsel sought time to advance arguments on the law point. At this, the court adjourned the hearing till September 5.
