DC, DPO Mansehra Launch Monsoon Plantation Drive To Promote Green & Sustainable Environment

MANSEHRA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jul, 2025) Deputy Commissioner Mansehra, Mian Behzad Adil, and District Police Officer Shafiullah Gandapur Friday formally inaugurated the Monsoon Plantation Campaign by planting a tree at the Circuit House Mansehra, marking the start of a district-wide green initiative in line with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government's directives.

Speaking at the launch, the Deputy Commissioner directed all Divisional Forest Officers (DFOs) to initiate large-scale plantation activities across their respective sub-divisions.

He stressed the importance of leveraging the ongoing monsoon rains to ensure maximum survival and success of the plantation drive. "Tree plantation is vital not just for environmental restoration, but also for mitigating the harmful effects

of climate change," he stated.

On the occasion, DPO Mansehra instructed all SPs, DSPs, and SHOs to actively participate in the campaign by overseeing tree plantation in police stations, outposts, and offices throughout the district. He emphasized that this effort should be treated as a national responsibility.

As part of the campaign, thousands of trees are planned to be planted across the district, with the goal of ensuring a cleaner, greener, and safer environment for future generations. The initiative reflects the administration’s commitment

to sustainable development and environmental preservation.
