
DC Reviews Anti-smog Measures In Gujrat

GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Oct, 2025) A meeting to review anti-smog measures was held under the chair of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi.
According to a spokesperson, District Officer Environment Usama Majid briefed the meeting on the ongoing activities and measures taken to control smog in the district.
The meeting was attended by Secretary RTA Saddam Hussain, RFO Rashid Chattha, DSP Gujrat, XEN Highways, Motorway Police Inspector, Traffic Inspector, and representatives of other concerned departments.
The DC directed all departments to adopt a joint and effective strategy to control smog. She emphasized strict action against the use of plastic shopping bags, smoke-emitting factories, brick kilns without zigzag technology, burning of crop residue, and smoke-producing vehicles.
She added that coordinated efforts and public cooperation were vital to curb environmental pollution and ensure public safety.
