
Death Penalty On Two Counts Awarded In Double Murder Case

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jul, 2025) District & Sessions Judge Abdur Raheem awarded the death penalty on two counts to an accused involved in a double murder case of the Dijkot police station.
According to the prosecution, accused Shaukat Ali Sheikh, a resident of Chak No.246-RB Basti Hussain Shah Kukkar Wala, had killed his wife Mst.
Sumaira Bibi and her alleged lover, Muhammad Zeehan, to death on December 24, 2021, over suspicion of their illicit relations.
After observing the evidence and witnesses, the judge awarded the death sentence on two counts to accused Shaukat Ali. He was also directed to pay Rs.2 million in compensation to the families of the deceased. He would have to undergo an additional imprisonment of one year if he failed to pay the amount.
