Dengue Awareness Seminar, Walk At University Of Engineering And Technology Lahore

The anti-dengue task-force, University of Engineering and Technology (UET), organised an awareness seminar and walk on campus, here on Thursday

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Sep, 2019 ) :The anti-dengue task-force, University of Engineering and Technology (UET), organised an awareness seminar and walk on campus, here on Thursday.

According to a spokesperson, the purpose of the seminar was to create awareness among students, teachers and faculty members regarding dengue fever, its symptoms, types and treatment.

While addressing the participants, CMO UET Health Clinic Dr Shahzad gave an overview of dengue precautions and prevention to combat the disease.

He said, "Stagnant water was causing dengue. Just try to drain it out from houses, offices and other places for a secure life.

" He emphasised the use of mosquito nets, mosquito killing coils, liquids and mospel while sleeping on terrace.

At the end of the seminar, a walk was also held from Transportation Seminar Hall to IB&M Tower, led by the vice chancellor.

Convener Anti-Dengue Task-Force Prof Dr Anwar Latif, President TSA Prof Dr Amanat Ali Bhatti, Registrar Muhammad Asif, Dr Shoaib, Dr Ammad, Dr Zafar Noor, Senior Warden Dr Mushtaq, Dr Neelum Naz, Dr Sabahat Alamgir, PRO Dr Tanveer Qasim and a large number of students and faculty members were also present.
