Divisional Agriculture Consultant Committee Constituted

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th july, 2016) : On the directions of Punjab government, a divisional agriculture consultant committee has been constituted for the promotion of agriculture sector. Divisional Commissioner will be chairman of the committee while EDO agriculture will be secretary, said official sources here Monday. RPO, divisional heads of Zarai Tarqiati Bank and all commercial banks, Chief Engineer Irrigation, Chief Executive FESCO and Deputy Registrar Cooperative have been inducted in the committee. Director Livestock, Conservator Forest, Divisional Head PASSCO, DD agriculture, Pest Warning, Farmers Association and representatives of fertilizer, pesticides suppliers association and sugar mills will be among committee member.

The committee will be responsible for reviewing fixed agriculture production targets, prices of agriculture related tools besides monitoring ongoing uplift schemes for the welfare of farmers community. The committee will also be responsible for resolving farmers problems, electricity for agriculture sector, supply of canal water, pesticides, seeds and other agriculture machinery.
