DPM Highlights Importance Of Enhancing Regional Connectivity

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2026) Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar Saturday held a meeting on the sidelines of the South Asia Federation of Accountants (SAFA) Conference.
DPM/FM highlighted the importance of enhancing regional connectivity, expanding economic partnerships, and strengthening cooperation among professional bodies to unlock the region’s full potential.
He reiterated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting stability, harmony, and sustainable development, stating that greater collaboration among regional institutions can pave the way for shared growth, innovation, and stronger people-to-people connectivity across South Asia.
He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace, economic cooperation, and deeper engagement among South Asian institutions and professionals to build a more integrated and prosperous region.
Attendees included: Humayun Kabeer – President SAFA, Prabhin Jah – VP SAFA, Ashfaq Tola – Advisor SAFA, Azeem Siddiqui – President ICMAP, N K Mobin – President ICAB, Kauser Alam – President ICMAB, Zeeshan Ijaz – Former VP ICAP, and Tishan Subhasinghe - President ICASL, and other office bearers of the professional bodies of South Asia.
