
DPM Meets Thai Counterpart; Vow To Broaden Cooperation In Multiple Areas

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jul, 2025) Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister (DPM/FM), Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday, met with Thailand’s Foreign Minister, Maris Sangiampongsa, on the sidelines of high-level events during Pakistan’s Presidency of the UN Security Council.
The two leaders expressed satisfaction at the positive momentum in bilateral ties, particularly in cultural and parliamentary exchanges, people-to-people contacts, trade, and tourism, a DPM's Office news release said.
They agreed to broaden cooperation in a number of areas including food security, fisheries, defense, and regional connectivity.
They exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
They also discussed collaboration in the multilateral fora, especially at the UN.
FM Maris congratulated Pakistan on its UNSC Presidency, and appreciated its contributions to the Council’s work.
