Explosive materials case: ATC acquits three accused

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd September, 2016) : An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday acquitted three accused involved in explosive materials case. The court acquitted the accused on the ground that the prosecution failed to present sufficient evidence on record to prove their involvement.

ATC-I Judge Azizullah Kalo conducted the proceedings of the trial. According to the prosecution, the accused, including Sajid, Abaidullah Farooqi and Sadiq Abbasi, had been arrested from Town Ship area in 2015 and about 520 gram explosive material was recovered from them. The police had registered a case under Explosives Act against the accused and submitted challan in the ATC.
