cousin injured.

According to police, Syed Tauqeer Hussain Shah of Mauza Rahim Shah was riding a motorcycle

to drop his niece, third-year student Saniya Saeed, and his 9-year-old nephew Ali at college

and school. Near Zafarullah Chowk, a fast-moving trailer ran over the motorcycle. Saniya was

crushed under the trailer’s wheels and died on the spot.

Rescue 1122 rushed to the scene and shifted the body and the injured to Tehsil Headquarters

Hospital, Jahanian. Tauqeer Hussain Shah, 55, and the boy sustained injuries.

Local people detained the trailer driver at the spot. DSP Jahanian Malik Abdul Majeed, along with the SHO Jahanian and patrolling police, reached the site and took the driver into custody. The DSP later visited the hospital to inquire after the injured.

Police have launched legal proceedings against the trailer driver.
