
Govt Completing Residential Colonies For Labour Community: Raja Ashfaq

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th july, 2016) : Provincial Labour & Human Resource Minister Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has said the government is completing residential colonies for labour community.
The construction work of Labour Welfare Complex, Warburton, district Nankana Sahib, with a total cost of Rs 926.126 million is almost completed and will soon be inaugurated. He stated this while presiding over a meeting held to review the pace of progress on different development projects of the Punjab Workers Welfare board on Friday. The minister directed officials concerned not to compromise on quality of material and transparency in these welfare-oriented project for the labour community.
The project comprises 208 multi-storey flats, two separate boys and girls higher secondary schools with a capacity of 1,000 students, community hall, main office, mosque and other related facilities.
He expressed satisfaction over the pace of progress of these development projects and directed to ensure provision of drinking water, electricity, sewerage and other basic facilities at the earliest.
Secretary PWWB Shahid Zaman Lak briefing the minister said that Workers Welfare Primary school Sher-e-Bangal Colony at a total cost of Rs 185.46 million comprising 50 classrooms, computer labs, library, art room, play land and other educational facilities for the 1500 students is also near to completion.
