Grand Hayat Hotel Lease Case Adjourned Till Dec 23

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Dec, 2016 ) : Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday adjourned hearing of a case regarding the lease cancelation of Grand Hayat Hotel till December 23.

A single member bench comprising Justice Athar Minallah picked up the suit filed by BNP Company for hearing challenging the CDA decision to cancel the lease agreement of Grand Hayat Hotel.

During the proceeding, the counsel for the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Iftikhar Gillani sought more time from the court for further arguments in the case.

He adopted the stance that the legal requirements were not fulfilled in registry of the above land. He said that CDA had only granted the construction of 120 apartments on the land. He said that it was necessary to make the lease deed between owner and buyer of the land as legal. After hearing the arguments the court adjourned the case till December 23.
