Hurriyet Leaders Demand Implementation Of UN Resolutions

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -24th Augst,2016) : Hurriyet leaders have demanded the implementation of the UN resolutions so that the Kashmiri people can exercise their right of self-determination through a plebiscite in the territory. The leaders including Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Hakeem Abdur Rasheed, Bilal Siddiqui, Yasmeen Raja, Farida Bahenji, Zamrooda Habib, Mir Shahid Saleem, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Zafar Akbar Butt, Muhammad Shafi Reshi, Firdous Ahmad Shah, Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Muhammad Iqbal Mir and Muhammad Sharif Sartaj in their statements maintained that settlement of the Kashmir dispute was vital for peace in the region, KMS reported. They urged international community to come forward in a big way to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
Meanwhile, Hurriyet leader, Javaid Ahmad Mir, in a statement condemned the indiscriminate use of force by the personnel of Indian armed forces on innocent civilians in the territory. The Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir in a statement said that Kashmir dispute could only be resolved by implementing the relevant UN resolutions on Kashmir. "Any solution to Kashmir issue within the ambit of Indian Constitution is unthinkable and unacceptable.
This issue could only be resolved by giving the people of Jammu and Kashmir their right of self-determination," the JKML said in a statement issued in Srinagar.
