Hurriyet Leadership Extends Shutdown Till August 12

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Augst,2016) : All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, and Hurriyet leaders, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik issued a fresh protest Calendar to register protest against the killing of innocent people by Indian forces in the Kashmir Valley. The leaders in a joint statement issued in Srinagar said, on Saturday, complete shutdown will be observed while people will assemble at local chowks and centers from Asr to Maghrib and stage peaceful protests.
Azadi songs will be played from loudspeakers of the mosques from Maghrib to Isha, Kashmir Media Service (KMS) reported. As per the protest calendar, on Sunday (7th August), complete shutdown will be observed till 6 pm while sanitation and cleanliness drive would be conducted from 10 am to 4 pm in Mohalas, villages, localities and hospitals.
Peaceful protests will be staged from Asr to Maghrib. On Monday (8th August), complete shutdown will be observed and people will block all the roads towards and around Civil Secretariat Srinagar, DC and Tehsil offices and ensure that no employee is able to join the duty.
The Deputy commissioners are asked to desist from calling the employees on phones and pressurizing them to resume the duty. On Tuesday (9th August) complete strike will be observed till 6 pm.
Women will stage protests from "Zuhar to Asr" and men will stage demonstrations from Asr to Maghrib. Islamic and Azadi Taranas will be played from Masjids from "Maghrib to Isha".
On Wednesday (10th August), complete shutdown will be observed and sit-in protests will be held from "Zuhar to Asr" with hoisting of black flags.
Candlelight vigils will be organised from Maghrib to Isha. On Thursday (11th August), complete strike will be observed till 6 pm, collective Fateha Khawani will be held for martyred senior Hurriyet leader, Sheikh Abdul Aziz, at" Mazar-e-Shuhada" in Srinagar.
A Poster letter asking pro- India politicians and their workers including panchs and surpanchs to resign from their parties and positions to be pasted on the gates of their homes. On Friday (12th August), complete shutdown will be observed.
A Freedom Awareness Campaign letter will be read by all "Imams" and "Khateebs" in all "Masjids" after every "Nimaz" (prayer). The letter will be pasted on the entrance of every "Masjid". Peaceful protests will be organized in the nearby chowks and centers after every "Nimaz". Directions for all the days are , the protests be held across occupied Kashmir on all days and Shutdown across the territory on all days except the relaxation mentioned in the programme. Lockdown all the routes entering mohallas, villages and localities by every means during night to protect people in general and youth in particular from the raids and arrests by Indian forces. Torchlight processions should be carried on alternate days.
