ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th july, 2016) : The journalists community in the Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) Wednesday said Kashmiris owed their indebtedness to Pakistan for its moral and diplomatic support, extended to their just cause of self-determination and freedom from foreign forces. They viewed Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif government's intense international diplomatic efforts to highlight the lingering issue as unprecedented in the history. Muhammad Naseer, correspondent for the 'Mail Today' in Held Srinagar, told APP that observance of the Black Day in Pakistan and the continuous support to the cause of Kashmiris' struggle for freedom, had given tremendous boost to the residents of the held valley. Commenting upon the Shahadat of Burhan Wani, he said the incident turned the tide and infused a new spirit into a massive liberation movement in Indian Held Kashmir. Naseer said the Indian forces had clamped complete curfew in the held valley besides, unleashing a reign of blood and bullets. Today, a Kashmiri was shot dead while scores of others were seriously injured, he informed. The communication links were down as the internet and telephone facilities were facing frequent glitches, he added.
Bilal Bashir Bhat, a senior journalist of the 'Only Kashmir Desk' in IHK, said all Kashmiris were thankful to Prime Minister Sharif for a decision to observe 'Black Day' on Wednesday to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people, groaning under the gross inhuman atrocities, committed by the Indian forces. Narrating the ordeals, being faced by the people in IHK after massive deployment of the Indian occupation forces, he lamented that there was a complete lockdown in the held valley. "The communication means are shut down, besides a strict ban on the movement of people.
There is acute shortage of daily commodities of lives," Bilal said. He said such oppressive policies by the Indian government could not deter the strong determination of the Kashmiri people to secure their freedom at all costs.
Scores of innocent people had been brutally killed by the Indian forces, he added. He stressed for a peaceful resolution of the issue through meaningful dialogue in line with the wishes of the Kashmiri people and the UN resolutions.
