ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd August, 2016) : Chairman All Parties Hurriyet Forum Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has urged the Indian government to read the writing on the wall and resolve the contentious Kashmir issue. "India should understand the sentiments of Kashmiri people. Kashmiris feel that lasting peace cannot be restored in sub- continent without resolving the Kashmir issue," he said talking to PTV. He said Kashmir issue directly relates to emotions and feelings of Kashmiri people and it is injustice to propagate it as administrative, law and order or security issue. Mirwaiz said the Kashmir issue cannot be addressed with the use of force of state terrorism.
"Unless and until India does not consider Kashmir dispute as a political issue and accept its disputed position, the situation in occupied Kashmir will remain the same." During last 24 days, Indian occupational forces have martyred 74 Kashmiris including four women and 12 children leaving 5509 Kashmiris injured. Most of areas are under curfew and in recent action Indian forces resorted to inhumane violence against the Kashmiris who were marching towards Shopian town carrying Pakistani flags and chanting slogans against Indian occupation.
