ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st july,2016) : International champions of human rights should come forward for raising voice against the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir which is largely affecting vulnerable groups including women, children and senior citizens etc. Senator Sitara Ayaz said whenever there is a deteriorating law and order situation, women and children are the most affected victims directly or indirectly. She said it is a question mark on role of International Human Rights activist for their silence on sexual assault and molestation of women in such a high number. Kashmiri people are suffering extremely from the curfew for last two weeks international community has not paid any attention towards their sufferings, she commented.
Besides direct HR violations, she added that vulnerable groups are also suffering badly indirectly as women and old people who needed medical assistance face problems due to curfew as they could not reach hospitals and students could not attend their schools. She asked the parliamentarians, and Human Rights activists to become voice of these marginalized segments so that message should reach at right forums. This is the only way to build pressure on international community who are just playing the role of spectators on the current situation in occupied valley, she said.
