Khuhro Seeks Details Of Free Distribution Of Wheat In Thar

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th August, 2016) : Sindh food Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Friday sought details of the free distribution of wheat in the province's Thar area. He warned that no irregularities or dereliction would be tolerated in the distribution of wheat. The Minister asked the Deputy Commissioner Thar to send him daily report at centre-level regarding the distribution of the wheat in the area.

The details to be communicated on daily basis should include details of the families, Names of Dehs, villages and NIC numbers so that the process of distribution should be transparent. It was pointed out that in the ninth and tenth phases, 287,000 bags of wheat are being distributed in Thar.. For these phases, 118,000 bags have been provided to the Thar administration so far, it was further pointed out. This is a laudable step on the part of the Sindh government, he further stated.
