KP CM Constitutes Panel To Review Implementation Of IBP

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th july, 2016) : Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has constituted a committee comprising Secretary Health, Secretary Finance and head of Strategic Support Unit which would present its recommendations to further extend the infrastructure of the major hospitals of the province. The committee will also review the matters of other health institutes and immediate implementation of policy "Institute Base Practice" already constituted for the doctors, and will also present recommendations in this regard.
He was presiding over a meeting convened to discuss issues related to Medical Teaching Institutes (MTI) here at Chief Minister's House Wednesday. Senior Minister for Health Shahram Khan Tarakai, Advisor to CM on Information Mushtaq Ahmad Gani, Dr.
Barki, Secretary Health Abid Majeed, Secretary Finance, Secretary P&D, Chairman board of Governor LRH Dr. Nosherwan, Head of the Strategic Support Unit Sahibzada Saeed, Chairman Chief Minister Complaint Cell Dilroz Khan and other concerned officials also attended the meeting.
The Chief Minister said the government had introduced health reforms in the province under which autonomy had been given to major hospitals, the salary package of doctors was increased while a large number of health employees were also upgraded.
He said the government had given incentives to the doctors and other health employees more than their expectations. Now it was the responsibility of doctors and other health officials to do justice with their profession and ensure best medical services for common man in the hospitals, he added.
Pervez Khattak said he would soon visit the hospitals personally to see whether the reforms were being implemented or not. He went on to say that 1100 positions for docters were also created to overcome the shortage of doctors while senior doctors were being posted against the 185 vacant positions.
Pervez Khattak made it clear that there would be no compromise over performance.
