
Martyr's Day Is Observed In Indian-held-Kashmir Today

SRINAGAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th july, 2016) : Martyr’s Day is being observed in occupied Kashmir today (Wednesday). The day is being observed in the memory of those 22 Kashmiris who were shot dead in 1931 by the Dogra troops outside the Central Jail in Srinagar.
The fifth day of violence is marked by a complete strike all across the valley whereas in order to prevent protests, curfew has also been imposed by the Indian authorities. Hurriyet leaders are still under house arrest whereas All Parties Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Geelani has been arrested by the Indian forces.
Indian-held Kashmir’s main hospital are making their best efforts to treat hundreds of patients wounded in four days of clashes, as medical officers warned that many could lose their eyesight from shotgun injuries.
