
Mian Javed Inaugurates Independence Day Celebrations At NPC

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Augst,2016) : Mian Muhammad Javed, Senior Vice Chairman Nazriya Pakistan Council (NPC) here on Monday inaugurated an exhibition of rare photographs of political activities of Quaid- i-Muhammad Ali Jinnah during the Pakistan movement period.
The two week Independence Day celebrations have been started at Aiwan-i-Quaid under the NPC, said a press release here. Expressing his views on this occasion, Mian Javed maintained that the historic photographs are a complete reflection of the significant events of the independence movement.
This in fact works as a brief reference book of that historical period of a great struggle carried out by the Quaid and his companions, he added. Mian Javed also wrote down a slogan about the blessings of independence on the jumbo sized banner placed at Aiwan-i-Quaid inviting people to express their patriotic views and feelings about Pakistan.
The exhibition and the signing campaign will run till 14th of August 2016.
Besides, many other programs including a discussion among the literati of twin cities on the ideology of Pakistan in socio literary program Nuqta-i-Nazar will also be held at 10.30 am on 6th August 2016.
This program will be presided over by eminent scholar Dr. Talib Sial. The concluding ceremony will feature a display of 90 feet x 60 feet specially tailored flag of Pakistan to be carried out by a group of girl guides and students of various schools at 9.30 am on 14th August 2016.
This will be followed by the flag hoisting ceremony, police band display of patriotic songs and a colorful function with national songs by students.
