Minister Directs To Expedite Campaign Against Unregistered Vehicles

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Augst,2016) : Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chwala has directed the officials concerned that campaign against unregistered vehicles should be accelerated.
Checking teams consisting of Excise and Taxation officers should be made vigilante on main arteries of the Sindh and through a comprehensive plan the objectives are to be achieved, he said.
This he said while presiding over a meeting in his office on Monday, said a statement. Director General E& T Shabir Ahmed Shaikh and director E&T Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui also attended the meeting.
The DG Excise briefed the minister Excise and Taxation about the performance and tax achievements of the department.
The Sindh Minister E&T directed the officers concerned to make one window operation more effective to facilitate the people who visited Civic Centre and redress their grievances.
"It is a must to maintain the proper record of vehicles and their owners as well because it is a part of National Action Plan to avert any untoward incident", he added. He said that the Excise and Taxation Department was in close liaison with all other stakeholders and unless we worked together we could not achieve our targets, while adding, Chawala said that CM Sindh had given clear directives to curb corruption in all departments and to facilitate the people at their doorstep.
