Minister For Action Against Social Security Directors

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -2nd Sep,2016) : Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resource Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has directed Commissioner Punjab Employees Social Security Institute (PESSI) Mansoor Qadir to take immediate strict disciplinary action against directors Social Security for not achieving their contribution targets, registration of new industrial workers and issuance of R-V Cards to them in their respected districts.

He stated this while presiding over a meeting held at PESSI headquarters in this regard, here Friday. The minster expressed his indignation over the poor performance of district directors Social Security and said that Performance and Professional Third Party Audit should be conducted of these officers.

The minister said welfare of the labour community and provision of best possible medical and health facilities to labourers and their family members was only possible if contribution targets were achieved in timeline.

Commissioner Social Security Mansoor Qadir said that he had repeatedly warned these directors to improve their performance issuing them explanation letters but most of them did not pay any heed. He said he had decided to take action against these officers according to PEEDA Act if they did not improve their performance within a month.
