
Minister Leads Delegation To China For Farm Sector Reforms

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Oct, 2025) A high-level delegation of the Punjab Agriculture department visited China under the vision of the Punjab Chief Minister to modernize agriculture on scientific lines.
The delegation was led by Punjab Agriculture Minister Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmnai, said a press release issued here on Saturday.
During the visit the delegation visited the Headquarters of 'Syngenta China'.
Syngenta China assured full cooperation and technical support for quality seed production in Punjab.
Minister for Agriculture Punjab Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani said that Syngenta China would take practical measures to enhance the export of sesame from Punjab.
Moreover, Syngenta China expressed keen interest in establishing a modern technology center in Punjab.
The delegation also visited YTO, a world-renowned tractor manufacturing company in China.
The minister said that YTO has finalized an agreement with the private sector for setting up a state-of-the-art agricultural machinery plant in Punjab.
He further said that a delegation from YTO would soon visit Punjab to finalize different aspects of mutual cooperation.
Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani said that the local manufacturing of modern agricultural machinery and tractors under YTO would promote farm mechanization and provide farmers with advanced facilities.
