Nazim Directs Abolition Of Encroachments From GBS

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th August, 2016) : District Nazim, Mohammad Asim Khan has directed the abolition of encroachments from General Bus Stands (GBS), shifting of cabins established in the mid of stands to the back side of stands, construction of modern waiting rooms, provision of clean drinking water, repair of boundary wall and installation of proper gates on both entries and exits. He issued these directives while presiding over a meeting regarding provision of facilities to commuters and bringing improvement in the deteriorated conditions of the general bus stands.

Those who attended the meeting were included District Naib Nazim, Syed Ahmad Ali Shah, Director, Coordination Sahibzada Mohammad Tariq, Deputy Director Colleges, Shafiq-ur-Rehman and Account Officer, Aziz Khan.

During the meeting, Director, Coordination Sahibzada Mohammad Tariq briefed the District Nazim regarding the deteriorating conditions of the general bus stands and facilities provided to commuters in it.

The meeting decided that shifting of the cabins established in the mid of the bus stands to the back side and expansion of the facility to construct modern waiting rooms would facilitate commuters.

In these modern waiting rooms, the meeting decided to provide facilities including clean drinking water, fans and air-conditioners and cementing of the stands to ensure drainage system. For ensuring the attendance of staff, the meeting also decided the installation of biometric system and provision of uniforms and badges to all employees of the general bus stands. Addressing the meeting, the District Nazim directed the Director Coordination for conducting visit to the stands and preparation of the PC-I as soon as possible.

He vowed that all available resources will be utilized for the provision of facilities to commuters in all general bus stands of the province.
