NEA Vice Administrator Calls On Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd August, 2016) : Vice Administrator of Chinese National Energy Administration (NEA), Mr. Li Fanrong along with his delegation Tuesday called on Minister for Water and Power and Defense, Khawaja Muhammad Asif here to review progress on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) energy projects. The Minister welcomed the Vice Administrator of NEA and his delegation and said that Pakistan attaches special emotions and importance to China and highly values its relation with China, said a press release.
Mr. Li Fanrong said that China and Pakistan have cordial relations and both countries have assisted each other in difficult times. He further said that the CPEC energy projects were progressing well under the able leadership of Khawaja Muhammad Asif.
"Our aim is to complete all the energy projects in their given time frame and to benefit Pakistani people by fulfilling their electricity needs by 2018", added Mr. Li Fanrong. Li Fanrong said that for the timely completion of the projects it is of utmost importance that the bottlenecks must be removed and the Chinese workers in Pakistan on different projects under CPEC should be provided full security.
The Minister lauded NEA and said that CPEC covered a lot of ground in short time owing to the effective and efficient working of NEA & assured Li Fanrong that all the issues and bottlenecks impeding the energy projects will be removed to ensure smooth implementation and timely completion of the projects.
"All relevant ministries will be contacted and issues pertaining to them will be discussed and resolved", added the Minister. Khawaja Asif further stated that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure the safety and security of Chinese workers working on different CPEC projects.
"CPEC would be a success story of the region and will further strengthen the Pakistan-China economic relations. The minister impressed upon his interlocutors to fast track the work on all energy projects and ensures their timely completion.
