Nephew Of Former Chairman Senate Shot Dead

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th August, 2016) : The nephew of former chairman senate Muhammadmian Soomro was shot dead here in sector F-10/3 after a dispute in wee hours of Monday, a police source said.
According to details, two different parties had a clash at Gloria Jeans in sector F-11 and both parties were brought to the Shalimar police station where they reached to a compromise. When they were going home after compromise, one of the party headed by Raja Arshad riding on Corolla car (PS 100) fired at two vehicles with automatic weapon including black-colored Prado (VY 1) and another white colored car (IDM 11) following which the occupants of both cars sustained injuries.
Resulting this firing incident around 0325 hours near St#3 Old Margalla Road F/10-3 Islamabad, one of the car occupant Barrister Fahad Malik, stated to be nephew of former Chairman Senate Muhammadmian Soomro and son of Malik Sohrab, succumbed to his injuries while anther occupant Malik Tariq sustained bullet injured who is stated to be out of danger.
The assailants fled away from the scene following which the controller of safe city project had been asked to trace out the car. Reportedly, the accused reside at E-7 and the SHO Shalimar police station has been directed to cordon of their house (No.114, St No.10) in sector E-7.
The source said vehicles were not properly checked when the both parties reached police station and reached compromise. If there vehicles would have been checked properly, he said this incident could have been prevented.
However, he said that IGP Islamabad Tariq Masood Yasin has constituted a special team under supervision of SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani and SP (Investigation) Muhammad Ilyas to trace out perpetrators of this heinous act. He hoped that they would be arrested soon as raids are being conducted for the purpose.
