New Economic Zone Is Being Established Near Super Highway; Wassan

KARACHI, Dec. 13 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Dec, 2016 ) : Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce Manzoor Hussain Wassan has said that Special Industrial Zones are needed to be established across the province.

`A new economic zone is being established on Super Highway and almost 60 plots have been sold, he said. He expressed these views while addressing the traders at FPCCI here on Tuesday. Wassan said that Chinese investors have also bought plots in new economic zone.

A new 500 square yards industrial zone will be established near Mohenjo Daro next year and it will be joined to the CPEC.

He said incidents of kidnapping for ransom have been declined in interior Sindh due to the efforts of Sindh government.

He predicted that 2017 will be the year of economic and political stability. Encroachments are serious issue and the traders must cooperate with government for their removal, he added. Wassan further said that repair work of roads at SITE Super Highway will start from Wednesday.

He informed that development works in all industrial areas of the province will be started in January and February. He said the provincial government is focusing on increased production of power.
