Over 50,000 Unemployed Youth To Be Trained This Year

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Augst,2016) : National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) would train over 50,000 unemployed youth across the country in different technical trades by the end of 2016.
Talking to APP here Friday, Executive Director NAVTTC, Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema said that all the courses are being offered free of charge, whereas stipends will be paid to the trainees. He said the present government is fully focused to provide technical and vocational education along with the conventional education which would benefit the economy of the country in the long run.
He said that skill competitions have been initiated across the country to create the awareness among the youth but also helped them realize the importance of technical and vocational education.
Zulfiqar Ahmed suggested the industries and entrepreneurs of the country to encourage the youth to get training from NAVTTC institutions. The pressure of unemployment could be reduce through the technical education and adding that establishment of Skill Counseling Desk and Job Placement Centre of NAVTTC providing guidance regarding employment opportunities and selection of training fields.
