Peace Conference Held To Acknowledge Collective Efforts For Peaceful Ashura Observance

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jul, 2025) The district administration on Wednesday held a Peace Conference to acknowledge the collective efforts of all institutions, religious leaders, volunteers, and citizens in ensuring a peaceful and well-managed observance of Muharram across the district.

The conference was attended by Commissioner Dera Division Zafar-ul-Islam Khattak, Regional Police Officer Syed Ashfaq Anwar, Deputy Commissioner Dera Abdul Nasir Khan, Deputy Commissioner Tank Tanvir Khan, senior officials from various departments, religious scholars, political and religious figures, traders, peace committee members and media representatives.

The event served as a platform to extend appreciation for the outstanding coordination and commitment displayed by all stakeholders in maintaining law and order, promoting interfaith harmony, ensuring cleanliness, and facilitating peaceful processions and gatherings during the holy month.

The administration praised the united spirit shown by the community in upholding peace and mutual respect during Muharram.
