PHVG begins online registration of volunteers for upcoming Haj

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th july,2016) : Pakistan Haj Volunteers Group (PHVG), a non-governmental body that serves Haj pilgrims from around the world at the holy sites, has begun the registration of volunteers to serve during the upcoming pilgrimage season. PHVG spokesman Wasim Shahid, talking to Saudi Gazette said Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia who wish to serve pilgrims as a volunteer can relay their interest by completing the online volunteer form by logging on to: URL: http://www.hajj- volunteers.com He further said there are certain criteria to serve as a volunteer with the PHVG. The volunteer should be a male, Pakistani national and legal resident in Saudi Arabia.

His age should be 16 years or older and with good health.

He should have performed Haj already and should give assurance that he will not perform Haj while doing volunteer work. He will have to perform tasks assigned to him to earn the reward from Allah. Shahid said PHVG would provide support to the volunteers in collaboration with the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) and Pakistan Haj Mission. They would have official permission to enter Mina, Arafat and Mudalifah as volunteers.
