PMDC President To Contest For IAMRA Member Position

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Augst,2016) : Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), President, Prof. Dr. Shabir Lehri will contest for the position of member at-large at the International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA) USA. According to an official of PMDC, Prof.

Dr Lehri will contest for the position as body member in IAMRA General Assembly, which will be held in conjunction with the 12 International Conference on Medical Regulations on September 22, 2016 in Australia. He said that President PMDC was the only candidate to contest from Asia which was an honour for Pakistan and the entire region specially for the Muslim world.

Joanna Flynn (Australia), Ms. Susan Goldsmith (UK), Dr. Tebogo Kgosiesile (South Africa), Dr. Haidi Oetter (Canada) and Dr. Carlos Vital (Brazilian) were also contesting. He said there will be candidates from Central and North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia Pacific. Since 2008, Pakistan has been an international leader in registration of practitioners and medical education.
