SANGHAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jun, 2026) Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) district Sanghar leaders have congratulated the party leadership, workers, and the people of Gilgit-Baltistan on what they termed a “historic” victory in the recently held general elections.

In a joint statement, PPP District President Ali Hassan Hingorjo, General Secretary Jahangir Junejo, and District Information Secretary Imran Dhamrah said that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan had expressed full confidence in the party by supporting its candidates, thereby endorsing the ideology of democracy, public service, and the legacy of late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto.

They said the electoral success reflected the hard work of party workers, organisational strength, and the popularity of pro-people policies pursued by the PPP.

The leaders added that the Pakistan Peoples Party had always represented marginalised and underprivileged segments of society and would continue to uphold its tradition of public service in the future as well.

They expressed hope that the newly elected leadership in Gilgit-Baltistan would play an effective role in addressing public issues and ensuring development and prosperity in the region.
