LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jul, 2025) Punjab Police have clarified that recent media reports concerning alleged irregularities in the secret funds of the Home Department are based on outdated and misleading information.
A spokesperson for Punjab Police, in a statement issued here on Tuesday, said that audit observations are a standard and routine part of departmental audits conducted across all government institutions.
The spokesperson further stated that in response to the audit objections raised regarding the Counter Terrorism Department and Punjab Police, comprehensive replies were submitted after addressing the concerns. All relevant records were duly presented by the concerned districts and units to the competent audit committees of the government of Punjab.
Upon verification of the provided documents and after satisfying the audit requirements, the objections were formally closed, the spokesperson added.
