Raheel Sharif's Role In CPEC, Restoration Of Peace Appreciable: Talha Mahmood

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Nov, 2016 ) : Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Division Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood on Tuesday said that Army Chief General Raheel Sharif played an appreciable role in China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, border security and restoration of peace in the country.

Talking to media persons in the Parliament House, he said, "Economy of Pakistan is strengthening now and our future is safe due to policies of the government." Replying to a question he said that presently Pakistan's economy was on the right path and continuity of this process would make the country more developed and prosperous.

Condemning the continuous violations on LoC by the Indian forces, he said, "India is responsible for spreading anarchy in the region but India should know that Pakistan's defense is stronger and impregnable."
