Rs 0.8m compensation cheque given to widow of fire rescuer

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th August, 2016) : Rescue 1122 DG Dr Arshad Zia on Monday presented a compensation cheque of Rs 0.8 million to widow of Amjad Ali, a fire rescuer, who died of cardiac failure at Rescue Station on August 4.

Earlier, upon directions of the DG Rescue 1122, all necessary arrangements for his funeral were made by the emergency service under supervision of senior officers from Rescue Headquarters. The DG Rescue 1122 said Amjad Ali was an honest, dedicated and devoted worker. He also offered employment to his widow, Irfana Kausar, in the department.
