Senate body on Parliamentary Affairs meets

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th july, 2016) : Senate Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs met here on Tuesday with chair Senator Saeed Ghani. Senator Sherry Rehman moved the private member bill titled : "The representation of the people (amendment) bill 2016"', introduced on 7th March 2016.

The committee discussed the bill with detail and give recommendations that legal opinion should be sought from Senator Aitzaz Ahsen, Senator Javed Abbasi and Senator Muhammad Saif in this regard. The committee further decided that more time should be given from Senate to elaborate the bill. The Senators including Tanveer Thanvi, Israr ullah Zehri, Nehal Hashmi and Hilal ur Rehaman attended the meeting.
