Senate Body Recommends NBP Branch In Mehmand Agency

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Nov, 2016 ) : The Senate's Standing Committee on States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Tuesday recommended that a National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) branch should be set up in Mehmand Agency to facilitate the people of tribal areas.

The committee met here at the Parliament House with Hilalur Rehman in the chair. The meeting was attended by senators Saleh Shah, Aurangzeb Khan Aurakzai, Taj Muhammad Afridi, Haji Momin Khan Afridi, Hidayatullah, Malik Najmul Hasan, Ahmed Ahsan, Khanzada Khan and Sitara Ayaz attended the meeting.

The committee directed the Chief Commissioner Afghan Refugees to ensure repatriation of refugees in a dignified way.

The committee also decided to invite NADRA officials in next meeting for discussing the matter of shifting of NADRA office in Mehmand Agency, Tehsil Safi.

It also directed the political agent and officials concerned to attend the next meeting. The committee directed the officials concerned to expedite construction work on the Nihakai Kandao Surang and Ghalanai Mumdghot road.

Earlier, the Frontier Works Organization officials briefed the committee about the roads projects being contructed by the FWO. Senator Saleh Shah submitted the report of sub-committee which was adopted by the members of the committee.
